This is a multi-disciplinary role that crosses between business analysis and process engineering, software development, and project management. We are looking for individuals who have a skill set in some of these areas and are looking to grow in others.

About this role

Responsibilities:

  • Create new solutions: Analyze, document, plan, design, create, and train for Workflow Solutions.
  • Over time, learn and extend the library of components that are used in Workflow Solutions (these components are developed using Java, SQL, and JavaScript).
  • Serve as a project lead or supporting role in multiple engagements (including implementations, enhancements, and new products).
  • Work with customers and project teams to develop, troubleshoot, and test software solutions.
  • Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders, and deliver excellent customer experiences.
  • Administer maintenance & second level support for deployed solutions.
  • Leverage business knowledge and expertise to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Travel as needed (US, Canada, and United Kingdom) (max 25%)

About you

Requirements:

  • Experience with Java or the following programming languages: C#, C++, JavaScript, Python, Pascal.
  • Familiar with procedural programming
  • Experience in any of the following industries: transportation, truck lease rental, fleet management, shop management, material accounting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience with ERP/Financial Accounting systems.
  • 2+ years of professional work experience.
  • Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, testing, and debugging.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a positive and cooperative attitude.
  • Strong project management skills including the ability to define the scope, establish priorities, establish a timeline, escalate problems to management, manage risks, coordinate resources, communicate status, and manage the delivery of results.
  • Good working knowledge of various software programs is required, including Mac OS and Microsoft Windows products, Excel, Word and Power Point.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with Software implementations.
  • Experience with designing/developing business process applications, business process (re-) engineering, business process modelling notation and execution, such as BPMN and BPEL.
  • Development experience with persistence frameworks, such as Hibernate and Mybatis.
  • Development experience with ext-JS or another JavaScript UI platform.
  • Development experience with IBM i (AS400).
  • Experience with JIRA.
  • Experience with GIT.
  • Experience with operating systems: Linux or Unix.
